Here is a list of some of the important firmware revisions. We haven’t included every single item but rather just the ones that are important to you. We are constantly monitoring our devices and getting feedback from our customers to help make our customers experience the best it can be.
Recent Firmware Versions:
V 2474 & v3.0-rc10 - Feb, 2020
A correction has been made whereby if the stove knob has been left in the on position and the Night Locks release the stove will NOT turn on unless the Reset button is pressed. Previously the stove would start when the lock was released and ran for 5 minutes and then shut off because no one was in the kitchen.
V 2223 - Oct 2019
We have included some tweaks so the gas models will reconnect automatically if they lose their encryption key. This included a small segment of memory to hold the information previously used to connect.
V 2218 - September 2019
The change allows for the Remote Release of the Caregiver Lock using your smartphone or computer.
V 2048 - September 2018
We changed the way the display on the gas model show the instructions screens. Originally the moment the START button was pressed the following screen immediately said “Press Stop and turn off the stove”. That happened so fast it looked like an error message. We added a screen that now says “Protection Enabled” that comes up after pressing the START button and then after 5 seconds it switches to read “WHEN DONE, Press Stop and turn off stove”. It’s much more clear for the user and easier to understand.
V 2000 - July 2018
This version added a way for iGuardFire to change specific devices’ Late Night Lock so that it would function as a Bypass Lock instead. This is not available to the public but if you contact us we can activate that change for you. This will allow you to do unique things like bypassing the iGuardStove for long periods of time to perform actions like self-clean options on your stove.
V 1995 - June 2018
When you “Disable or “Hide” the Manual Timer so it can’t be used AT the device the only way to access it was to go to the Online Settings and re-enable it. This version allows a user to enter the devices Menu to access the Manual Timer locally while still hiding the Manual Timer to everyone else. In conjunction with the Menu Lock feature added in v1988 it makes this a very handy tool.
V 1988 - May 2018
Added the Menu Lock feature to prevent unauthorized access to the menu options where someone might be able to do a Factory Reset or access other setting that you don’t want changed.
V 1947 – New Features
Temperature Monitor – This can alert you to extreme temperatures in the kitchen area either too hot or too cold. Example: Maybe the furnace has quit.
Shut Off Odometer to keep track of every time the stove has had to be shut off automatically by the iGuardStove. This can help you understand what is going on in the home and also to see the value that your iGuardStove is providing you and your family.
Stove On Alert – We have had the ability to alert you to when the stove has had to shut off automatically. Now you can choose to also be alerted every time the stove is turned on. This may give you even more peace of mind and the ability to monitor the progress of their cooking experience.
