# iGuard Home

> iGuard Home makes the iGuard automatic stove shut-off device, which predicts and prevents unattended and forgotten cooking fires before they start. It uses radar presence detection to sense whether someone is attentively cooking and automatically shuts off the stove when cooking is left unattended. Built for seniors aging in place, people with dementia, and the caregivers who support them. iGuard is the current name for the device previously sold as iGuardStove, so many existing customers and reviews still refer to it as iGuardStove. Works on gas and electric stoves; sends caregiver alerts by app and text.
